Used to be I selected a crystal for an
open frequency and called cq. There
was then a pause while the guy at the
other end looked through his crystals
so he could answer me. Today we
rarely use crystals but there is still the
pause. The guy at the other end is
reading about me on eHam or QRZ to
see if he wants to talk to me!
